Quick and Easy Balsamic Glaze Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup balsamic vinegar

2 tablespoons honey (optional, for added sweetness)

Instructions:

  1. Combine Ingredients:

Pour the balsamic vinegar into a small saucepan.

If desired, add honey to the saucepan for a sweeter glaze.

  1. Simmer:

Place the saucepan over medium-high heat and bring the mixture to a boil.

Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and let it simmer.

  1. Reduce:

Simmer the mixture for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it reduces by about half and thickens to a syrupy consistency.

The glaze should coat the back of a spoon.

  1. Cool:

Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the glaze cool.

It will continue to thicken slightly as it cools.

  1. Store:

Transfer the balsamic glaze to a clean container. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a month.

Usage:

Drizzle this balsamic glaze over your Peach and Prosciutto Flatbread, salads, grilled vegetables, or any dish needing a sweet-tangy finish.
